Before he was Vin Diesel, Mark Sinclair was an Electric Boogaloo’ing Machine

ShareTweetEmailThis … is awesome. Back in the day, before he changed his name to Vin Diesel and, we presume, took to the weights, Vin Diesel was Mark Sinclair, teenage boy break dancer extraordinaire.I love Vin Diesel, and for some reason, this video from 1986 just makes me like the guy more. Make Your Pictures Look Old without Photoshop

vintageJS is a online tool where you can upload your new digital images and make them appear old with sepia tones and blurred edges in few easy clicks.
Unlike most other web-based photo editing tool, vintage JS is written completely in HTML5 and is open-source so you may even host it on to your own servers.
Also, it uses data URIs to render images and the various filters are applied via jQuery at the client’s computer itself so the thing should work in offline mode as well.

Twitter Introduces Text Ads

Twitter is experimenting with sponsored text-ads on their website that show-up just after the “trends” section. The first round of text-ads mainly promoted Twitter apps and other services built around the Twitter ecosystem but that is no longer the case.
Twitter’s new ad format includes a website URL that takes you straight to the advertiser’s website (NFL in this case) and there’s a related hashtag to help you see related tweets on Twitter search.
