Activision made an announcement today saying that it will “disband Activision Publishing’s Guitar Hero business unit”. They have taken the decision after noting the sales of the gaming genre were dropping fast. Even the development of the Guitar Hero game that was scheduled for 2011 has been stopped.
Is this a definitive dead? It appears that it isn’t. They may resurrect the brand in the future but they have added that it will be “re-assessed” before moving forward with
