san diego unemplyed news The San Diego Unified School District Board of Education voted Thursday to send provisional lay off notices to more than 1,500 district employees, including about 700 teachers.
Many of the layoff notices are expected to be withdrawn, as in past years, once the school district knows how much money to expect from the state.
