The AP has reported that a levee located in Poplar Bluff, Mo has cracked at least in one place. Said levee is used contain a river and keep it from inundating southeast Missouri. Over the past four days northern Arkansas and Southern Missouri have suffered waves of thunderstorms that brought more than a foot of rain.
The incident forced thousands of resident to flee to higher ground in the midst of panic. About 1,000 homes were evacuated.
